I should have said advice needed...

I suspected my chickens might be laying in an alternative location. Just found it. I've had the chickens for maybe a month, so that's the very longest the eggs would have been there. (Under a patch of ivy that I was initially clearing out and then gave up... totally sheltered.)

So my question is, are these eggs salvageable? I haven't gathered them up to count them yet, but there are many. What a waste if I can't use them.

Just brought them in... 27 of them! Looks like there was probably one that broke. I see a few bits of shell stuck to the others. There were bugs (maggots?) under one of the eggs, but the shells are all intact. Thanks for your advice!

Depends on the temperature outside. But at this time of year I would throw them. If I dont find them within a few days this time of year I let the dogs have them. Its not worth taking a chance with my family's health.

if its hot out be careful because they will explode. onetime my duck hatched some little uns and one was a dud and exploded in my hand. lets just say my mom could smell where i was for a good while. if i were you id throw them out
