I am very worried about one of my girls. This is my first set of chickens. I've had them since they were a day old and have been through the ringer keeping them healthy. Upper respitory infections, coccidia you name it. My australorp has been the only one that has remained healthy through it all and the rest of the flock has been a-ok for about 2 months now. The last 2 days my australorp has been acting very sluggish, resting in one corner of the coop, walking very slowly, drinking a lot but appetite seems to be decreasing. Yesterday I saw her have yellow slimy diarrhea-almost like egg yolk and I noticed streaks of white on her back feathers as if she's been having diarrhea today too. I thought maybe she was just having a hard time with her first egg (her being very young for eggs yet) but now I'm starting to fear that she is sick and I don't know what from or how to help. Anyone have any ideas???
Thanks in advance!

If you mentioned bloody diarrhea I would have said coccidosis. This sounds like some kind of intestinal parasite. Have you tried probiotics/electrolytes and something like corid or medicated feed?

They had coccidia in the past and after treating with corid and then on medicated feed preventively they were negative last time I check for any parasites. I'm hoping it's not "internal laying" :(

How old is she?
What type of food/treats do you feed?
You mention that all your chickens, except her, had a respiratory disease?
How long ago did your vet perform a fecal float?
Yellow slimy poop can be a few things- photos may help. Does she have a discharge from the vent?

Check her crop to make sure it is emptying overnight (full at night/empty first thing before eating and drinking). Look her over for any external parasites.

With chickens, it is sometimes hard to know what's going on with them. Some of the symptoms do sound like she is having reproductive problems or if she is a new layer, then she may be having troubles with an egg.
Keep her hydrated, offer her some poultry vitamins and 1time extra calcium like Tums or 1/2tablet of Caltrate. Electrolytes are fine for the first 24hrs, then either switch to the vitamins for a couple of days or give plain water.

She's is about 16 weeks (~4m) they eat a mix of medicated chick started and non gmo chick starter. They occasionally get lettuce for treats but lately I haven't given them much of anything because they have been free roaming a couple hours a day. I did a parasite screen about 3-4weeks ago. She does seem to have a full crop every time I checked it between yesterday and today but it seems to be mostly water.
I think I'm going to talk to the vet tomorrow and see if antibiotics are recommended.

Will try to get the calcium you were talking about and see if that helps any.
