Advice needed on cross beak rooster

Update: Gizmo is doing very good. He's gained weight and I have been able to trim both the top and bottom beak so he can eat much better. His tongue, which was dried and shriveled up is almost normal. He's decided to be both an indoor and outdoor chicken. Even with it being 17°F, I keep the back door open just a hair. When he hears me in the kitchen he hops up the steps and lets me know he's ready for his special meals. 😊

Yay! I’m so glad he’s doing better! Cross beaks always seem to worm their ways into our hearts (and houses lol)
