advice needed please

Thanks. A slight improvement today, she has had plenty to drink and had bits of food. Sometimes she just stands in one space for ages, then she suddenly comes to life again. Very warm again today, perhaps that has something to do with it. It is supposed to be a bit cooler tomorrow thankfully. I have ruled the broodiness out, as she has never bothered going in to the nest box at all. Perhaps as well she has laid her last egg for a while. She has done well, she has layed more or less continuously for nearly 12 months.

A very slight improvement again yesterday, starting to show a little more interest in things, been hand feeding her a bit, and she has pecked at a few other tiny little bits, so at least she is getting something. Her poops are solid now, only little ones, they were very watery. Yesterday wasn't quite as hot, and it is cooler today, so perhaps the heat knocked her off a bit. She came right out again this morning and has been wandering around. Just have to take it day by day, I suppose. At least she is drinking well, and she loves the yoghurt drink.

Just another quick update. A great improvement in her today, she is eating well by herself, strolling around the garden with the other chicken, pecking around and dusting in the soil. Such a difference.

good news! I would give her vitamins and calcium for a while. some boiled eggs 2-5 times a week till she returns to normal. I crash boiled eggs together with the shell and in that case they don't need artificial vitamins and calcium.

@chickengr; just boil the entire egg, with shell, crush it up and give it (shell included) to them? If so, I must try this. My Lily needs some sort of vitamin.

Thanks very much everyone for all you help. She is back to normal again now, I can't believe the difference in her.

yes, boil the entire egg. I don't buy vitamins any more as I have had better results with the eggs.
