ADVICE NEEDED

this is a first for me… my girl just laid this.. no shell etc.
I have know idea what or if i should do anything.

It's a soft shelled egg with a tail.

What do you feed? Do you provide oyster shell free choice?

If she's acting o.k., then this is likely just a glitch. If she's acting a bit off, standoffish, hunched up, etc., then I'd give her 1 Calcium Citrate+D3 tablet once daily for 5 days.

I have had soft shell in the past but none ever like this lol. She free reigns all day and I buy different feeds usually kalmbach sometimes others (NEVER Purina ) plus I add many things to it I kinda make my own if that makes sense.. plus they get all scraps. In short they are wanting for nothing only thing is the boys really did a number on her.. plucked her bald on her back and head. I have been keeping her separate from them since this.. that is the only thing different. You are probably correct and it is just a glitch. I had just never had a soft shell like this.. thank you
