Hello, my broody hen has been with her chicks in a seperate pen in the hen house. Yesterday she laid an egg, I know by her actions she wants to return to the flock. (She is still good with her (5)-51/2 week old chicks). Today when the other girls were out I put Harriet out (her chicks were out in an enclosed pen). For a couple of minutes things were fine and then BAM....her and Ruby started to fight...the other girls came running, but I grabbed Harriet and put her in with her chicks. WHAT CAN I DO??? I read on here to keep momma and chicks in a seperate pen in the hen house so the other girls can see them, but that doesn't seem to have worked so well. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO INTRODUCE HER BACK WITH THE OTHER GIRLS WITHOUT BLOOD SHED? I really need HELP! There are 6 other hens. Thanks

Welll try to introduce at night when they are calm. Or hang a head of lettuce up they will be more interested in jumping up for the lettuce than picking on your hen. GGGGOOOOOODDD LUCK.
