Advice on Deteriorating 10 month Chicken

UPDATE: Vet did a fecal test and it came back that she has high levels of fungus internally so they suggested I put her on some medication that I'm waiting to hear more about. I hit my home apothecary and started giving her goldenrod and red clover and fresh oregano with some yogurt and adding garlic and apple cider vinegar to her diet. She seems to be eating more and has a lot more energy. I really hope she continues to improve - I don't even care if she stops laying eggs. Her funny personality makes having chickens fun. This picture was from 3 months ago and the color of her crown is definitely not even close to this red :(

I would follow your vet’s advice since they did lab work. Does he think the fungal infection is in her digestive tract or generalized? Is he recommending nystatin or medistatin for the fungus? That is very good.

UPDATE: I was given Nystatin for my sick chicken and she has had 2 doses so far. The vet said they found a lot of yeast in her poop but no worms. This morning when I can down to give it to her she is definitely doing worse. Her poop is green and bright yellow now and she is lethargic. I purchased the Fish Mox but didn't give her any since the vet felt it was fungal. I'm wondering if I should switch over since I think we are dealing with something more timely than fungal. I am not a vet or a chicken expert so I just don't know. It's just hard to see her like this.

I am sorry you are going through this with your chicken. I have been in your position many times since I started raising chickens. I am not a vet or an expert either. If I was in your position, I would probably give the Fish Mox a try. It may or may not save her, but I think it would be worth trying.

How is her crop feeling in early morning before she eats? Is it full and puffy or mistly empty and flat? The yellow in her green poops could be yellow urates from a liver or reproductive issue. I would be tempted to start the Fish Mox if her crop is not full and puffy (signs of sour crop.)

her crop is flat in the morning. I just gave her nuntra drench which always seems to oerk her up. I also cut open a pomegranate and filled with water - she is drinking and eating the seeds which seems good. I'm going to stick with this fungal medication for one more day and see where she goes from here. Of course it happens to the friendliest chicken I've ever met.
