Since I have never had silver appleyards before, can some you that have tell me if I should be concerned with my female SA voice? She doesnt quack but does whistle but I have not heard her whistle since she is no longer in the house. My 3 ducklings have been outside a week half. I have a male Pekin and female SA and Pekin all are 9 weeks old. I ordered the SA mezters and got the Pekins from TSC. The female Pekin is loud and in charge, I have no concerns with her.

I understand that males have raspy voices but I am very unsure if it should be this raspy.

Any thoughts or concerns are gladly welcome!!

Hi!! Well since i special ordered her from metzers i wonder if they sent me a male on accident. I sure hope not. Do male and female SA all have the same color pattern until they molt for the 1st time?
Hmmm?..They can because of genetics..The head colour will come in at juvenile molt. I had a rescue here I was certain was a Hen till he had a Raspy voice..
It appears more solid built like a Drake too..:idunno
I hope I'm wrong..:fl
