Advice on getting just one pekin duckling as house pet

As all of you were asking for pictures of my farm yard. I managed to get them to sit still enough to get photos and not get bitten by my female mascovy who's nesting at the moment.

Whens hatch day?

Should be in about 19 days give or take. She's been sitting for about 8-9 days full time

Oh goodie, since most of us are in the deep freeze of winter here in the USA, seeing ducklings will bring some joy to our winter so please keep us updated especially when they hatch.

Mommy duck came off the nest today for long enough for me to candle them while hanging upside down and guess WHAT!!!!! There is at least 5 ducklings

. i can see the air sac in the egg and some feathers in the eggs too. Shouldnt be long now and my first ever ducklings should be out *HOLDING THUMBS* but dont have a clue when that will be unfortunately.

So still no ducklings at al
She is still sitting, but brought all the rotten eggs out with little dead ducks in.

Hi all. 

I bought two ducks without any knowledge on what to do with them or how to care for them. One Mascovy and one Pekin when i got mine they were two weeks old and lived in a plastic crate with wheels they played outside when i was there i monitored the time they spent in the little water bowl and towel dried them when they got out, i never diapered them just constantly cleaned up where they messed.They are so amazingly tame that they call for hugs and love their necks and backs scratched. either breed make lovly tame house pets and mine still come inside from their pen in the morning and at night for food and bark like the dogs. They dont have trouble with children or other pets they just hate cats. 

Did you have to put them under the light?
