Advice on how to repel your chickens/flock form eating hostas and other ornamental garden plants

Hey guys, my free range chickens are eating my hostas. I looked on line, but they said that chickens don't even eat hostas, but mine are. Does anybody know how to stop them? I've tried spraying my plants with habanero, but that doesn't seem to be going anything. Any ideas?

Fencing.....its the only way. A little chicken wire barrier around the plants will save them.

I have one or two hens who love the hostas. I had also read that chickens would not eat them, but I just ended up digging each one up and moving them to the front yard to save them!

Once they get a taste for something and like it, it's all but impossible to get them not to eat it.
