If i had just one to integrate into an established flock of three, i think i would take the calmest of the three and put her in with the new girl, instead of the other way around. This way, the new girl has a chance to make friends with one, and the one moving into her territory isn't established in that particular spot - they're both in new territory in a way.
I haven't done it, but i would give that a shot - especially if i thought the flock might not accept her.
