Advice on integration

I didn't think of this until just now.

If i had just one to integrate into an established flock of three, i think i would take the calmest of the three and put her in with the new girl, instead of the other way around. This way, the new girl has a chance to make friends with one, and the one moving into her territory isn't established in that particular spot - they're both in new territory in a way.

I haven't done it, but i would give that a shot - especially if i thought the flock might not accept her.

I just added a new hen last night and we had recently added 2 others one older one same age to the flock. We put the new girl into the coop last night and the others are like oh great a new one...whatever and there were no squabbles or nothing they didn't seem to care at this point and are all strutting around the yard digging up stuff.

All the advice has been amazing, and I want to thank everyone. Now I am thinking I may have to get 2 brahma instead of just one...IF I can talk hubby into expanding the coop a bit. Fingers crossed!
