advice on light brahma chicks

I have light Brahma chicks that I got about a week ago. I handle them every day and they ate still very much against handling. They kick and attempt to peck. None of my other chicks have acted like this. In the brooder they are very aggressive towards each other. They were originally in the brooder with BR chicks until they pecked all the feathers and a good deal of flesh off the head of one BR. What do I do with these nasty chicks?

I put my nasty columbian wyandotte chicks in with my ducks. They aren't nasty to them but are rowdy enough to not get bullied. It seems to have calmed the chicks down. My light brahmas weren't awfully friendly but they weren't mean either and never tried to peck me.

Two of our light brahma's are the friendliest of the bunch. We have RIR, BR, and Buff Rocks, we have found that the BR are the least friendly. I think it is just the luck of the draw...

My light brahmas are the sweetest ever. One of my favorites. Maybe they will get a little nicer when they get a bit older. My baby chicks never really wanted me handling them but now at 7 months old they could care less. They follow me around the yard

I would continue to house them separately. We're you using a red heat lamp? Sometimes they can grow out of this but usually this temperament carries into their adult life. You may have to consider rehoming them if they can't get along with everyone

Light Brahamas can be aggressive as a chick, but as adults they are They are mellow, quite hardyin heat and cold. They were introduced in enland in the 1840's from China, and are a great dual purpose bird. They average around 3 to 4 eggs a week. And are know as a good production bird through winter. They do alright being confiend, but do better with a outside run. Hope that haelped!

Definitely switch to a red light. I had one of my tophat chicks get picked bloody while under a white light. Once I switched to red everything was fine. No order pecking.

I will go get them a red light. I plan on putting them out in the run as soon as they are big enough to hold their own in the run.

Good I also have light brahma chicks and while they are mean to the other chicks i have they certainly arnet nice lol. And even tho I hold them everyday they dont like it. I hope our chicks grow out of it!

I have seen many mean brahama chicks going after tail feathers.
