ADVICE on my bantam

She's a pretty girl! Looks broody to me.
While she was out today, did she poop? Broody poop would probably confirm it, or may indicate something else. There are lots of poop articles here, so that would be a good thing to check too.

Does she have missing feathers on her chest and belly? Just because she is broody, I would not let her sit unless you get fertilized eggs and want more chicks. Make sure that your coop and run are large enough for more. Date the eggs and start them the same day, so chicks will hatch at the same time. Some hens will go broody often, and I will just place them in a wire dog crate, a roost bar, and with food and water. It can take 3-5 days for them to stop.
No missing feathers and she seems a lot brighter today and vocal and has eaten and drank more. If I let her have chicks I’d probably only want 2 but we’d definitely have enough space and we are building a new coop which is higher off the floor so they have all that now aswell. I’m not too keen on the dog crate method but understand why it’s used . One of my other bantams went broody last year and I bought some fertile eggs which were sent in the post but they never hatched so ended up getting her 4x day old chicks and she accepted them , Sandy was one of them :)) Thank you so much :) they also have full access for the allotment and around our stables x

Thank you so much, yes she is lovely . There was a poo near her nest and I saw her do one and they both looked the same to yesterday. Maybe her first season laying has tired her out a bit . Thank you 😊
