Advice on raising and butchering CX in mid-summer

Wow, 30 is a lot to process for your first time. I hope you have a plucker and some help.................Cornish X is usually starved for a day, so staggering the slaughter days is troublesome, but it can be done. I only do 5 at a time.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, 30 is ambitious but I’ll have lots of help. I’ll probably do 15 a day process over two days. It’s a little extra work in sorting but I think its best for sanity sake. I’m going to rent a plucker for a couple of days. I can clean them pretty fast once they’re plucked. I tried the killing cone last year on a few cockerels..It didn’t work to my satisfaction, so I plan on using something like a buck pole, secure them by feet upside down and do the deed. We used the tines on our tractor last year that placed the birds at a workable height for hand plucking.
