Advice on smell

Hello everyone first time chicken mom. I have a question I’ve seen many people use First Saturday lime for smell and as well as preventing pests but it’s a bit pricey. I saw a comment someone saying they buy a 50lb bag of barnyard lime at tractor supply for $3.99 has anyone use this? Does this also prevent pest or just helpful for smell Or anything else y’all like as well? Just open to advice and suggestions

I'd rather assess and fix the issue(s) that's causing odors than try to mask it. Photos of your set up and info about what litter you use, how you manage it, how drainage is at the location, how many birds you have and overall size of set up would help with that.
