ADVICE PLEASE - Dog Attack! Wound on vent... graphic picture...

If you have a tiny bit of plain yogurt or buttermilk, she would benefit from the probiotics in them now--another boost for immunity to infection. I'm glad to hear she is hanging in there, and alert.

Tea Tree Oil has to be diluted before you put it on an open wound because it burns like Hell's Fire if you don't. i have first hand experience, as i used it on a small cut on my cheek once. i had used a few topical meds that had contained "some" Tea Tree Oil that worked out good on cuts before. i'd thought i'd be clever, so i bought the 100 percent the last time i bought stuff like that. since then i've read that it actually causes a chemical burn when used undiluted. I MEAN IT REALLY BURNED my cheek. the skin peeled off from the area that i had applied after a few days.
that poor chicken should be scootin like a dog across the grass.

Eggcessive: Will get some yogurt today - thanks for the reminder. =)

Cayucaipa: And yes, the tea tree oil was diluted. =)

Maeve still clucking. Good ol' girl. xx

Maeve still improving. Salt baths and flushes seem to have moved things along nicely. Just hope she's okay internally. Here's a pic of her enjoying a breakfast of strawberries and natural yogurt. =)
