Hello everyone!
Recently I took my duck booboo to the vet because she had a terrible case of Bumblefoot. The vet gave us pills and was able to get the puss out without Surgery! I have run into another problem now. New skin will not form! it had been about 2 months that poor booboo has been living in the garage.. the vet has seen bobo many times and has said all you can do is wait for the skin to form or he recommended a surgery to close up the wound but i just can’t afford it
is there anything that you suggest that will help new skin form/speed up the process? I feel terrible and I really want to get her back with her sisters.

Possibly liquid bandaid wound help?..All it would take is a couple of stitches to close it up with local freezing.

@AUGUSTINE I have treated chickens for bumble foot. Here is what worked for me. Soak in epson salt to soften and remove scab/corn as well as applying slight pressure to remove remaining puss if any. Flush wound well with some type of spray, fill wound with antibiotic ointment(not the pain relief kind)and bandage. That is kinda pain in the butt with a lot of time involved. Next thing was to find the cause of the bumble foot. For me was having a lot of rocks in the run as they were always stepping on it. Once I removed nearly all the rocks bumble foot went away and has not been a problem since. I also left bumblefoot untouched and it has gone away on its own.
For you I would try to soak in epson salt and remove the scab slowly may take 30-60 minutes to remove the scab without damaging the skin underneath.
Another approach may be to soak the foot daily for about 20-30 minutes and not pick the scab.
I would put her back with the rest of them to me there is no reason to keep her separated any longer.
Just my .02
