Hello everyone I need advice !

I currently have two chicken runs
I have one run that has all my hens
And my second run has my newer chicks which are about 6 weeks old now

My question is I currently have a hen who will be hatching baby chicks by next Sunday I’m not sure which run to keep her with? Should she stay with the hens or should I separate her from that run and place her with the newer chicks ?

I’m just nervous of leaving her in the hen run and once the chicks are born that the other hens will attack them
Just need advice about this thank you in advance !

Hiya, Alexa, and welcome to BYC! :frow

When I used to let hens hatch eggs, they lived with the rest of the flock in the coop, then free ranged on their own, but within a few weeks, followed the flock around.

When chicks are freshly hatched, the momma warned the rest to stay away, and the rooster helped her. It doesn't take long for the rest to learn hands off!

Hello, Alexah, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.

Where has she been setting? Generally speaking, I have found that broody hens do not like youngsters around their chicks.
If she has been within view of the flock, I would permit her to take her chicks into the main flock when she is ready.
