Same here. I just don't see the need, don't feel it's fair, it's going to get messy so much faster, you have more potential for fighting, and sometimes there are situations where they have to stay inside for extended periods of time and who wants to be cooped up in an overcrowded situation?

Have used less over a winter or two and seen the stress related consequences.
If I had a snow and wind proof run, it would be a different story.

Have had to reduce my flock numbers to accommodate the space I have, that cannot be expanded. 16 birds in a 6x16 coop works well here.

I do have another option. we built an A-frame chicken tractor when we 1st got chickens; but then we ended up getting 12 so it was not big enough for the birds so we altered a shed. The issue with the A frame is it has a run under it but it is not attached to our 10 by 50 run. I was really hoping someone had the used the Shed Yard overez chicken coop as I already decided how I could attach it to the existing run.
