Hi!
Is there anyway besides vent sexing (I have no idea how to do that) to tell a male from a female goose?? Just got these two African geese who were born this spring, the people I got them from couldn’t even give me a round about month of when they were born. šŸ™ƒ

I posted this on another spot, but I’m curious about ours too! Are our African geese boys or girls? We see an under flap, but a big knob on top. They are definitely noisy. They have long necks and thick legs. Ryann (the one that doesn’t have angel wing), will come up and circle me often - talking and nibbling on my hand and legs. They look and sound like boys, but the little sac underneath is confusing me. They are about 5-6 months old.

I’m trying to figure out the sex of my geese too, so I can’t help you there.
But the goose in the photo looks a lot like a Chinese goose.. could it be an African Chinese cross or possibly full Chinese?
