After 25 Years without an Electric Company You learn how to do what most today consider impossible.

Hello fellow off-gridder! I raise my chicks with hot water bottles and jars hot water. There's always a way, though it often gets creative!
Thanks, that's good to here from other American Pioneer Patriots. When I got back into the Chick Scene last year I read from others doing the Hot Water Thing and You were probably one of them. Thanks for the information.

Living off the grid is not for everyone. Up to the age of 8 (my age) we lived without indoor plumbing. No desire to return to such times.
I interpret FREEDOM,, as being able to live in a country (mine is USA) with a Constitution. :thumbsup

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome
Hubby is clamoring to return to off grid living and NOT paying to rent to live in this modular. We lived that way 2016 - 2011.

I have come to the conclusion if one has money and can purchase certain things it's bearable. But, doing it while poor I do not think it was fine. 😞 Yes we had sustenance and we had covering. I was not satisfied with that bare minimum in the heat and humidity of the deep south.

From what I hear electricity is going to be cost prohibitive going forward which only fuels his desire to get off the grid. IF it could possibly be any greater than it already is. 😳

We have two cents more income; so IF he achieves his goal it won't be quite as bad as when we first married; but honestly I'm not looking forward to it.
