Well this is really Seachicks news...but....I copied this from the S. Portland city council website. According to them it passed...I can't believe this isn't in any newspaper!!!

Amending Chapter 3, “Animals and Fowl,” regarding keeping domesticated chickens. Amended and passed first reading on 08/06/07. ROLL CALL VOTE. Passage requires majority vote.

Passed as amended 7-0

3. ORDINANCE #3-07/08

Amending Chapter 27, “Zoning,” regarding keeping domesticated chickens. Passed first reading on 08/06/07. ROLL CALL VOTE. Passage requires five affirmative votes.

Passed 7-0
