After care for Bumble Foot

Her sister Dolly layed a shelless egg inside a shelless egg. It was HUMUNGO

We broken the membrane in a red bowl. I just thought it had two yokes, nope, pulled the other membrane off . . .
And that is not a pic in my hand. That is a man's hand.

Did so
Do you have a pic of the poopy vent? You could try giving Ziggy epsom salt as a precaution.
Did soak her in a warm bath with a tish of soap. Idk if the Epsom salts.would burn her private parts. But did use Epsom for her feet.

:eek::eek::eek: Never seen that! SO many yokes! Does this happen often with your hens? What breed are they?
Unfortunately , yes. They lay some big ones. I much prefer their normal days. Worry it is too much stress on their bodies. But the only stress so far was the one Dolly had that was shelless. And she pushed that one out surprisingly easy.

AFter bumble foot surgery i keep my hen quiet for a few days on dry clean bedding and I apply a layer of burts bees resq ointment ( about £7 here in England and lasts ages and is a cure all must have) i then give her a 7 day course of a herbal supplement called hepar sulphite which is tiny pills in a small tube ( about £7 ) I add 4 to her water daily, it’s a natural antibiotic.
I’m sure she will recover just fine ❤️

My worming plan...(haven’t ever had a hen with worms..it is higher maintence than just giving a chemical tablet but I prefer it as I like organic eggs)
I add a few handfuls of diatomaceous earth to the coop floor, nesting boxes and dust bath area.
Always have One clove of garlic in their water . Can be left in there for about a month and just top up the water.
Add 1 very finely minced garlic clove or 1 oz garlic juice , 10oz water , 1 tsp lavender to a Spray bottle ..spray the chickens week.

My herbal two penneth :)
Ty for that. I had just read about the garlic. Will do that asap

Oh, I have no clue what breed they are. I just call em my puppies cause they have amazing personalities. I do have a Silver Laced Wyandotte & a Barred Rock, but i have to keep them separate. Too brutal to watch that pecking.
