After Christmas I would like to do a block swap. Update first post

....I used the instructions saying to cut the strips for 4" blocks, then sew/cut....BUT....when I did that I ended up with 3 1/4 inch blocks. Today I'll try 5" blocks and then trim.

OH MY, it sounds like you having a hard time. Are you talking about the top and bottom rolls? If you didn't cut them all out yet try doing a little smaller then a 1/4 inch sean.

Are you sure you are sewing, using the 1/4 inch seam allowance? You may also have your needle in the wron position. Take a ruler and measure a 1/4 inch fromt he right side of you foot and mark it with a piece of tape on your machine and make sure your needle is in the center position of the foot.

Sure hope I'm not confusing you. PM me your Phone # if you need futher help

My seams were 1/4 inch, I measured from the center diagonal line to make sure. I have a piece of tape along my feed-dogs to make sure I'm using 1/4 inch seam as well.

....I always go through drama before I can get a groove going.

Thanks.

Might try doing a sample seam using a scant 1/4 inch seam....sometimes just a few threads one way or the other can make a significant difference.

Also measure from the line at a 90 degree angle to the line. ...if that makes sense.

Hell hello everyone, I thought I'd check in and see how everyone is doing and remind you, there's 20 days left. Can you believe it? 20 DAYS It seems like this threasd has been going on since last year.
