Kathyinmo, do you sleep? LOL

I think somewhere we talked about the pattern and in black and white, the black will be the blue and the white beige. I'm off to work but I wanted to show you the one I did.

CluckyChikn if you did yours different let us know so we can do it your way.

https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/7163_starabcd.jpg The beige doesn't show up to good but it is beige.

I'm going to do mine like that too; 16 1/2 triangle blocks.

Yea, every once in awhile. I try for at least 5 hours a day anyway. I'm a night owl. I work 3 - 11 PM shift, then it's hard to go to bed. I have lots of things to do, and never enough time! If I just didn't have this darn 40 hour a week job keeping me from my work at home! LOL On the other hand, if I didn't have the job .... well, you know the rest .... ! ! !

Ok so we are all on the same page. If you copy the pattern the black will be the blue and the white will be the beige. This way they will be the same.

Does that sound good with everyone?

Kathyinmo, I know what you mean, I used to be an night owl then I got old.

Now I'm lucky if I can stay up after 11.

I AM old ... I only wish I COULD sleep. Never have required much sleep, I dunno why!

OK.... so on the pattern we will follow .... dark is blue, light is beige. Got it! Thanks for the clarification.

When I used too do wood working I stayed in my shop till midnight and got back up at 5:00 am and went back too the shop because I had so many orders but now I have had so much done on my heart, actually my whole body that I go to bed at 10:00 but usually get up at 5:00. Sometimes I wake up during the night and I will go practice cutting material but it is hard with carpul tunnel in the hand that needs too hold the cutter. I am gonna get it fixed after I get a suppliment and after I figure out how I am going too get around with my crutch cause that is the hand I use too walk on the crutch with. My scooter won't get through the door back where I have my sewing machine.

QuailQT has decided to join and I told her if she has an problems to PM me or post it on here and any of us will be glad to help her.

That's how I did it for the smaller squares but I only had to do half of it. I'll try your tonight for the middle. NanaKat, showed a different way for the middle also. I don't remember which post but it's here somewere.

Boy these can come together in about an hour or less.

It was in post #57
Here it is. It is sewn in the reverse color order than the one pictured in the swap, but it is the same block. (The squares are rotated to change the colors)

Same beginning with 3 7/8 by 15 1/2 strip of each color cut into four 3 7/8 inch squares, cut on diagonal and sewn together into eight 3 1/2 inch triangle squares.

The middle strip on this one is a 7 1/4 inch square of each color cut on the diagonal two times and then sewn into two 6 1/2 inch X squares.

And yes drawing the line on the light color works with this 7 1/4 inch square.

I'm experimenting with some fabric to sew multi squares at the same time and then cutting the pieces with a rotary cutter. If this works I'll post the steps.....I'm retired and love to experiment.

When I have 1/2 squares I always sew on the line then go 1/2 an inch from the line I sewed to the edge of the fabric and I sew another line then I cut between the two lines and have a smaller 1/2 square for a different project. I hate to waste even that little bit of fabric, I have tons of these maybe I should think up a project LOL

If I confused anyone can someone else do a better job of explaining.
