Okay, this is hard for me. I already pm’d Gin about it and she really tried to help me out.

I can’t finish my blocks. I’m so sorry. It’s beyond my skill level and I honestly don’t know why. I measure, I cut and I sew and but they keep ending up at 12 3/8th. I love star blocks and this one didn’t seem so hard.

I’ve had some other problems come up these last couple of weeks (besides our burglary) and on top of it all I’ve had an abscessed tooth for the last several days (dentist appt at 1:00!). I’m just feeling beat down at the moment.

Even though I have no right to ask, I would like to make this as “right” as I can. What I have done is completed enough half-triangles to finish 14 star blocks. The pieces are ironed, trimmed and ready to sew. I was hoping that you all will accept my unfinished blocks along with your other blocks.

The fabrics are lovely batik’s. The bluebonnet and concho fabrics were purchased from a specialty store online at http://www.creations-online.com/fabrics/texas_wildflowers . The other fabrics are similar looking, equally beautiful and were purchased from The Quilt Store in Austin.

I am also asking that Gin redistribute the blocks that were to come to me, back to y’all.

Please accept my apologies for letting everyone down.

Tammy, I'm so sorry for your troubles, I'm with everyone else. Keep your chin up, take care of yourself and remember the good Lord never gives us more than we can bear. Things will work out.

My blocks went out in the mail on Saturday.

Tammy, It's okay girl .... really, it's okay, don't fret over it. Things happen, that's all there is to it. You do not need added stress.

Abscessed tooth? I can relate, as I just had one 2 weeks ago and suffered for a week! OUCH!

Tammy, take care of yourself and do not worry at all.

unfinished blocks are fine with me, and you will get yours back to with your unfinished probably done by Gin.
sometimes trying to do these blocks the sizes they ask never come out right, I almost alwsays cut the pieces larger than they are supposed to be so I can trim the finished block down to size. I don't know if that helps you understand or not.

Now look at that Tammy see how many ladies care. I will make sure they get passed out as you requested and you get everyone else's block if that's ok with the ladies. And I'm sure it is. Ginger

Mine are going to be in the mail tomorrow. I am sorry, Gin, for not getting them sent earlier. I have been having a couple of busy weeks, and I didn't get them ironed and trimmed until today.
Tammy, you may have a block from me too, and I don't mind finishing yours. I hope things start going better for you soon.
