We recently treated our white leghorn for a moderate lice infestation. We used pyrethrum dust which definitely did the trick. She is acting like her old self, but tons of her feathers are falling out after she preens herself. Is this normal after lice? I just wondered if anyone has experienced this after the lice and eggs are eradicated. Thanks!!

I have never dealt with lice, but make sure you retreat at 14 days after the first treatment to kill the hatching eggs (actually you can treat once a week times three- this will reduce the number of eggs that get laid and thus hatch out to need treatment at the 14 day mark).
