Husband, father of two, food blogger and now backyard chicken keeper! I built a coop a couple of weeks ago and am waiting for our six chicks to mature. I purchased them from TSC from the "red pullet bin" and have no idea what we ended up with. Here's hoping they are not roosters. :)

Our blue coop.

The chicks on 3.19.14.

The chicks 4.1.14.

Welcome to BYC!

They are adorable!!

Good luck with your new chicks and if you have any questions, that is what we are here for!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Congratulations on your new chicks, hope they are all girls for you! I've seen TSC Red Pullets labeled as possibly containing various breeds Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire Red or a Red Sex Link hybrid cross (like Red Star or Golden Comet), or Production Reds (a mixed breed red colored hen bred for egg laying ability).. you may be able to figure out what they are when they are older.
Be sure to check out the BYC Learning Center, it has a lot of nice articles on all aspects of chicken keeping https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center
You might also like to check out the Florida state thread for your chicken keeping neighbors https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/305793/florida-always-sunny-side-up
