Hello all!

Not sure if this question should be asking in this section or the "Egglaying" section so mods please move this as you see fit!!

Anyways, does anyone supplement their chicks with agaricus mushroom extract? I saw it on MyPetChicken and was wondering if it really works as advertised. Here are some pictures taken straight from the link to buy it: http://www.mypetchicken.com/catalog...Mushroom-Extract-for-Immune-Health-p1752.aspx

It's a little pricey but if it really does work as advertised then it must be worth it! Any thoughts or experience with it?

Thanks!

I have seen it before I wish someone who has bought it gives it a review. Its alot of money for somthing that seems to do the same thing as probotics. But if it works then Its great

I know! I wish someone would too.. perhaps when my girls get older, I'll buy it and be able to review it!
I did not know that probotics did the same thing! The yolk is strengthened like that too?
I'm new to the whole poultry world, haha. I'd much rather purchase probiotics because it's way more cost efficient!

Well its not the same at least im not sure it sounds like it does the same things. .and probtiotics are great for birds I give my hens probtiocs once a month it keep them full of good bacteria and helps them fight problems better. Because its better to prevent it then treat problems and there not many antibiotics approved for laying hens

Hi all,
I have been using this for 2 years. My girls are healthy and thriving. I have 2 waterers side by side, one with Agaricus and the other with Oregano oil. The girls drink the Agaricus twice as fast! I have even swapped waterers with the same results. I feel it is a great benefit and will continue to use. It last a long time as you only use 5 drops per gallon. At the very least the girls are drinking more water which I see as a plus, especially here in Florida.
