I live in agate central here in MN and have literally buckets of the things. Mostly Golfball or smaller picked out of landscape rock. Got every color and pattern under the sun. Would be interested in swapping some for something useful or getting some polished. Any other rock pickers out there?

Wow, those are cool. I have peacock feathers I could swap or some really cool sea shells, but it looks like you would pay more for shipping.

We used to spend a lot of time geode hunting back in TN.

I love using agate slabs, wire wrapping them to turn into sun catchers if they have transparent sections and then using them as gifts or selling them.

What are you interested in trading for?

Mine aren't the type used for slabs. Those come from Brazil or Australia. The lake superior agate does'nt cut well, they tend to shatter. They are best used for "bead" type jewelry when polished. You can grind a side flat and use them for very cool inlays. I've also seen small ones used to fill an old oil lamp converted to elec. light. Covered in mineral oil they really shine. They're fun just to look at too.

I'm mostly into knife blades. Anything from Ontario knife works, old schrade, Solingen, Mora, Sheffield, Marbles, Case or other vintage blades. Handles can be junk, blades can be rusted or badly sharpened, doesn't matter, I bring 'em back to life. Either hunting or kitchen blades.

Also into almost anything hunting, fishing or trapping related. Looking for some vintage maps and sepia photos to hang in a Circa 1900 farmhouse we've restored too. Farming, hunting or logging scenes preferred, but some old portraits would be cool too.

I don't have anything you are looking for on hand but give me a week or two and I'll find something at one of the many antique malls around here.
