Age and breed guesses?

I bought my new chook Ruthie at auction, so there was no information on her. I immediately wondered if she is a lavender orpington, just by the color alone, but that is not much. She's shy and a bit nervous around me, but I understand that. It's rough being shut up in a cardboard box, roughly handled, and later released into a strange place.
She has not laid any eggs; maybe she hasn't started yet, or she was stressed days before the auction and stopped ovulating?
I don't think she's too old, but I'm a noob.

Just looked it up. She does look like that, with the darker head feathers! But I think Ruthie is prettier than the ones they showed

I also looked into lavender orps, and yeah, she definitely looks less like them than I assumed by the name.
I just hope she's still a pullet and that's why she hasn't laid... She doesn't look very ample and pillowy, either, like a full grown hen might be, so maybe that's truly the case.

She is definitely still a pullet. I'd guess 4-5 months by comb development. She is not at point-of-lay yet.

She reminds me greatly of my Paloma. Mostly the head shape and comb/wattles. Paloma is five months old now.

I wish I could help but I don’t know what breed Paloma is either!!

Pretty Paloma! She looks fibro melanistic too. I really don't know if sapphire gem chooks can come that way, perhaps she's half something else, or something else entirely!
