Age correct?

i got 12 chicks last week that were supposed to be 10 weeks. They look nowhere near as developed as other Icelandic chicks of that age. Was the breeder confused, can they vary in size by the way they are kept? I’m confused.

They do have some adult feathers. From other photos I’m guessing more 5-6 weeks. She just replied to an email and said she really isn’t sure when they hatched....she was kind of “flighty”

I would guess closer to 4 weeks, they still have some chick fluff.

And speaking of fluff, I think the lady you got them from has some in her head. Anyone that has raised even 1 batch of chicks knows those aren't 10 weeks old. A breeder should KNOW when the birds they are selling hatched.
