Our order of chicks is shipping 2/28. We were supposed to be going to Hawaii Monday for two weeks but kiddo popped a positive COVID test so I'm thinking I need some sooner chicks in my life for consolation reasons 🤣😭

Would two weeks age difference be too much? I've done one week difference without issue. Pretty sure I could section the brooder tank in half for a couple weeks to allow growth at least.

Thoughts? Suggestions??

are you getting different breeds?

I was thinking EE and Buff Orps. We have Wyandottes and Americaunas coming from the hatchery.

What about two separate brooders? Could they then be combined at 2wks and 4wks? We are using stock tanks and I have a few that are to be herb planters later in spring.

I think it would be safer introducing them to each other at 2 weeks fot the younger group
