good luck! I tried to get some to hatch at the same time but had issues with the eggs being fertilized.I'm trying to time hatching eggs in my incubator with the arrival of baby chicks next month.
I can't be sure they're fertile but I have a rooster. I'm doing a trial run in a diy incubator to work out all the kinks before I set a batch in them.I have 6 weeks.good luck! I tried to get some to hatch at the same time but had issues with the eggs being fertilized.first batch would have been hatched about 2-3 days before I got my chicks, 2nd batch I tried would have been about a week after I got them..... HOPING I have the fertility issues figured out so debating if I should try to get them so they hatch 3 weeks after the chicks I am getting or wait and have them hatch when those chicks are 6 weeks old or so and hopefully out of the brooder..
I did get more, they were only about 9 days old though. The size difference seemed big to me at that point comparing 11 days vs 2 days old but not crazy. More so I wanted to have the newbies on a heat lamp for a few days after traveling so I kept them separate as the bigs were on a brooder plate already. So probably 4 days separate just for logistics.did you end up getting other chicks and putting them together?
