I have a stunted five week old claret chick, that looks like she's two / three weeks, in with my newly hatched baby baby that hatched at 9 am this morning. So far they're getting along, although Ducky (the older chick) jumps out and runs after 'Mama' when I'm doing chores in the house. Is there any problem with putting the two chicks with such an age difference together? Even though Ducky's maturity level is that of a two/three week old chick? I will post pics as soon as I can if needed.

If she's the same size, I don't see a problem. I'd watch very carefully that she doesn't get too bossy with the little ones though.

Size is the key, usually, so I think you should be fine putting them together. But of course it's good to watch at first.

She was showing the younger baby where the food/water was and showed her how to eat. The only problem I had was Ducky roosts on the edge of the box, or sometimes in my bed post [I'd have moved her out already if she wasn't so tiny], and the baby is now screaming for it's buddy. Debating on rigging a roof for the brooder so Ducky can't abandon her new little sibling.
