My silkie got it really really early, like that age or earlier, and he was a male.

They're heading towards 8 weeks. The one in question is the Wyandotte with the large red combs and wattles in each picture.

Thank you so much for updating this post. I have 4 chicks who are almost 4 weeks and I can see little slivers of wattles forming and was panicking. Their wattles are all much smaller than yours was, just the line where they will form but have not dipped down at all yet. This is reassuring! The one I am most confused by is a svart hona so the lack of red is no help at all.
