age mixing

I'm sure this has been asked 1000 times.
I will have about 8 - 7 week old chicks
About 26 2.5 week old chicks.
I have a dog run AKA brooder in the garage that I can make 4x12' if I work at it 6x12'
could these 34 odd chicks all share that space? given the age difference?
the 26 chicks in the house are getting a big cramped in their 30" by 5.5' brooder.

I would love to get the older chicks outside, but I just don't think it is warm enough yet for 7 week old chicks. I think they are going to have to wait another week.

Can you divide the dog run/brooder in the garage? That way you could keep them separated until the little ones are a bit bigger.

that is a pretty good idea

I just might be able to do that.

still trying to figure out a good way to KEEP all the shavings in, I suppose I could go buy some tarps.

Then when the older ones go outside it wil be more room for the younger ones.
