Most ppl I believe advise like 6 weeks. I live in a very warm climate. Nights in the 60-70s and days in the 80s for several weeks now.
I have 17 6week olds. I kicked their little birdie butts out at about 2 weeks old and they did fine.
However, like I said, I live in a warm climate and there are enough of them to keep warm. I can guarantee my birds were too big to be getting much help from mom at 2 weeks.

You may want to err on the side of caution though lol. I was just saying that my circumstances led me to make the executive decision to put them out early. If I resided in a place with a different climate I would not have.

quail are typically fully feathered and able to regulate body temp and be weaned off heat at 3 weeks.
