age to lay eggs?

Hi All,

I have 6 Buff Orpingtons all hatched the same day. First girl layed her first egg 30 days ago, this week the second started to lay, still have 4 hold outs, one of which has a very small light red comb still. Is this normal for 6 hatched the same day to be so different with maturation times? I am a newbie to the backyard chicken thing!! Thanks for any feed back.
