There‘s not really an exact way to tell and age, unless you bought them from day old. You can kind of guess what age they are, I would say about (at least) 5-6 months.Got new chickens. How can I tell age?
Shoot, I forgot to look at the spursTo me, they look about 3yrs old, based on the Rooster's Spurs.
It's okay.Shoot, I forgot to look at the spurs
Yes the rooster has spurs. I would say they are fully grownShoot, I forgot to look at the spurs
Rooster is learning to crow. I can't upload the video. Spurs are pointy but not fully grown. They still have some to grow. I agree they probably hatched this spring and they are 9 or 10 months old.I too, thought fully grown, probably more than a year, then this December, and most chicks are hatched in spring, people seldom get rid of year old chicks, - so I am thinking that they are coming 3 years of age...at least.
I agree!!!! I think they hatch this spring. Thanks for your inputThey look older than 8 -10 months to me, but it is just a snapshot. It would be a bit clearer to see them walk. I currently have a 6 month birds- she looks lighter than this.
