Aggresive chicken suddenly nice towards me

My family and i have 4 chickens (2 chicks and 2 grown) 1 of them has always been agressive towards us but suddenly, since the arrival of the little ones, shes been sitting next to us or on our knees. She still bites if she gets close but we find it weird shes calm all of the sudden? Anyone know what causes this?

Maybe some kind of broody instinct? Like she was not broody, but wanted to protect her nest? Odd, whatever it is.
