Your hen is acting like a roo because you have lost your roos. If you intend to get another roo she go ahead, she should calm back down then. Otherwise treat her like a roo. Catching her and holding her down, holding her in arms petting her, and many other tricks work, it just depends on the hen/roo. The main thing is to keep trying until you have figured it out.

She just bit my grandpa and made him bleed, I have been trying the holding her head down it seems to work a little.
Once my rooster or roosters get big she should stop right.

Yet here ya are, letting a little 4lb. Chicken beat up you, gramppa, and the neighborhood!! Squirt her with water from a spray bottle when she comes after ya!

I calmed Slifer down by treating her like *I* was the rooster...
I'd press her to the ground until she stopped struggling, then let her up.
I'd grab her neck feathers and yank gently.

She got much better.

How long do you got to do that before she stops completly. I didn't know he had bit my grandpa till he showed me otherwise we be having chicken soup for dinner.

Mine shaped up pretty quick. She went after my 4 yr old, but I just had her pick up the offending chicken, and that ended pretty quick. We started this right away at the first sign of aggression, but if your hen has been at it for awhile, it may take a little longer.

You should teach her who's boss - if she tries to do anything bad use a melee weapon(a steel pipe or golf club - kidding! A stick would do) and poke her a little. I did it on my very naughty hen and she improved so far. I hope she improves soon. Sorry about your grandpa......

I have been telling people that come over if she bites you hold her down push her away with your foot, we have been doing this for about 2 days and 1/2. She hasn't bit us none today. Thanks for your suggestions everybody the bitting gets on your nerves pretty quick.
