Aggressive baby chick or just play?

I have a similar problem with a new RIR baby pullet. I purchased 4 one-day-old Marans, 2 SL Wyandotte, then what appear to be 2 1-week-old RIR, and 2 1-week-old Ameracaunas. One of the RIR immediately started attacking everyone, and pecking at me as well. I quickly saw that I needed to separate the really new chicks from the 1-week-olds, or the former wouldn't live. Now that I've done that, the RIR continues to constantly peck on the others. The other RIR has gone into 'shut down' mode out of defense. I am a newbie too, but if this aggressive chick doesn't let up, she will be culled. She is constantly bullying, regardless of food and water situation. Any other suggestions? I want a somewhat simpatico flock as well.

Also, I'm curious what the solution was for Brie6895's aggressive chick.

Thanks for any help!

Well, I ended up with a happy solution for Ms. Velociraptor. First, I gave her more time. I did notice that the larger two Ameracaunas started putting her in her place, so she left them alone. But she also continued to try to attack the new babies. I put an ad on CraigsList, explaining the situation. Someone with chicken experience stopped by and was delighted to have her. I asked about their home preparations for a lone chick, and they seemed as prepared as I suppose anyone can be to raise her. At least she'll have a chance in a new home, and my Maran babies won't suffer her aggressiveness. I think that I've prevented some real stress in our future flock. Seemed like most others with similar situations didn't really remedy the aggressive chick.
