Does anyone know if there is something to be done with a male duck that keeps chasing a male goose? I have 6 female ducks a female goose a rooster and 9 hens and he only picks on the male goose.

Sometimes dividing the flock up can help.

Do you suppose the gander is doing something to cause the drake to feel the gander is a threat to the ducks? Does the drake have the hots for the goose and wants to drive her mate away?

This happened last year at this time. I did separate the ducks from the others last year but I don't want to have to do that again. The water for the ducks and geese are on the one side and they all love the water. The drake hand him pinned against the fence on his back yesterday. Poor guy he is very timid eats out of my hand.

It probably won't get any better unless you separate, My geese are the culprits here so during breeding they have their own space with their own pool. My ducks and chickens have their own space and the ducks have another pool. This way no one gets hurt or killed.
