Aggressive duck

He is definitely a drake... and he either is seeing you as a threat to run off or is seeing you as a potential mate... behavior definitely needs corrected... getting a female may or may not help... if you do get a female, I suggest penning him for a while letting her and him get to know each other and keep him from being free to chase and bite you...
I don't think he sees me as a threat. I've been he's caregiver for the most part since we got him. I can hold him, when he was small I would hold him and he would sleep.
But who knows what he's thinking. LOL

Hand raised males can lose their minds when hormones kick in... I've had a couple that once they chose a mate, would give me the warning lowered head and feinting strike when I walked by... they never resorted to full out chase and bite, but this is the behavior I am referring to... in case he might have bonded to a dog or cat...

Collect the eggs every day and they won't be able to hatch ducklings, easy to deal with... :)

Ah, I beg to differ... ducks can and do go broody just as much, if not more than chickens... and putting them in a kennel/crate actually encourages them to sit, lol...

OH indeed! My original 3 ducks and one drake provided me with over 70 ducklings - of which 56 survived. That was a lot of ducks to get re-homed!

I take all eggs now if I can (and this is an IF) but it has drastically reduced the number of babies.
:D

Lucky does this things at times where he puts his head down, almost under his body then raises his head real high and makes this high pitched sound, then slaps his wingS.

Believe me, ducks are smart. My Muscovy hen and my Cayuga hen caught on to what I was doing and hid their nests under a big shed where I couldn't reach them. lol However, oftentimes, it is not hard to sell or give away if you don't want any ducklings.
