Aggressive pullet...advice needed

Hi All,

I have a question about an aggressive BR pullet...she is 5 weeks old. She is going around and nipping the rest of her flock. She keeps pecking at their tail feathers, and the other birds are no raw by their tail feathers. Need some advice on what to do. I don’t have the option of building a separate coop. They have a 12 x 6 run and 4 x 6 coop for (6) 5week old pullets. Thanks I’m advance!

Hi there, welcome to BYC. I'm sorry you have a bully, they can be a pain. Can you separate the bully from the flock for a few days? A small dog crate would work. Then reintroduce.

I understand that but that would mean I would have to sit in their run and try to catch her in the act. Not so simple. So I will try and separate her for a few days and treat the other chicks tail feathers.

I have separated her for 2 days....how long should I keep her separate from the flock?
