Aggressive Rooster - Best Rooster Breed

No. I’m now of the opinion that a human aggressive rooster can’t truly be cured. Its a defect to be culled. I suspect develops from the rooster imprinting on humans as a chick.
Did it stop working because he learned to only respect you when you are holding the prod?

More to do with whatever measure (prod, club, ect.) only keeping the rooster away for around a day then it starting all over again. As if they forgot from day to day and the drive to attack was strongly instinctual.
Wierd! My chickens have gotten zipped by the electric fence and they learn to stay away from the fence line. They don't need to get zapped every day to remember that it hurts.

The electric fence isn’t a rival their instincts tell them to fight and ignore the pain of the counter attack from. That’s one reason why I think human aggression is related to imprinting. The venom normally reserved for a rival rooster is being transferrred to a human.

I was thinking about this a few days ago when my male turkeys were fighting. Its "that time of year" again. They kept pushing each other into the electric fence and I thought "well that should get their attention!" but it did not. They bounced off the fence like it was WWF and would fight even harder. It also reminds me of videos where police shoot a criminal with a taser and the criminal keeps coming. Testosterone is one heck of a drug.
