Aggressive Rooster

I would just let them sort things out their own chicken kinda way, unless it gets too outta hand, I don't see nothing wrong with a little bump n' grind, errrrr..... I mean a little pecking here and there.
I have seen chickens corner an individual and peck their brains out. I would never let aggression go in chickens. It's deadly serious.

My girls like their rooster..I think this is what a poster above meant

He may well pick on the. “Special one” because she’s sick , if there is blood it’s gone too far, I’d get rid of him ...

But I wouldn’t depend on him to protect your flock , he might alert them to danger ..... waiting for others to disagree

Agrees wholeheartedly with both of these.

Chickens are animals, not humans.....beware anthropomorphism,
it won't stead you well in your chicken keeping endeavors.
You need to learn about their behaviors and society, not project ours onto them.

Everyone needs to look up the definition of “anthropomorphism “ as I just did , I love it , can’t say it but I completely agree that is done a lot !! ( hubby knew what it meant , smart and strong )

It’s a good day , I learned a new word

Well said!
I try not to do it but sometimes it’s hard to understand their behaviors.
I know a lot more about dogs and cats than chickens but I’m learning more everyday thanks to BYC.
I’ve also noticed that people seem to forget that chickens are birds not mammals.
They apply things that are true about mammals to chickens which is a mistake.
