Aggressive Turkey

Our 1 1/2 year old White Breasted Turkey who has followed us around and wanted to be petted has suddenly become aggressive to us and is pecking at us. She will still come take treats from us but is making weird noises and acting aggressive. She is fine with the other chickens in our flock. We have lost a couple of chicken hens recently. Is she missing those 2? Trying to figure out why such a loving bird has turned aggressive.

Get another turkey for her to have as a companion. Turkeys are very social birds and will do best with others of their own kind.

BTW it is Broad Breasted White.

My turkey hens fight more in the spring and fall. One hen went on a rampage tonight, chasing a rooster around then 2 hens and went after 3 wk old poults. Any people aggressive birds go to freezer camp here.
