I had a week old adoptee that pecked everyones eyes, and actually pinned down a chick and pecked her eye till it bled. I did not want that kind of agression in my flock! After he left, everyone is happy and getting along. I didn't like getting rid of it, it was horribly hard, and I hope hope hope I never have to do it again, but am satisfied that I did it. We tried to seperate, put, a bigger chick with him/her, distract with something else to peck on, but to no avail. He/she was like one of the bird dinosaurs from Jerassic Park. I sure wouldnt want to see what it was like as an adult!
We never ever tolerate agressive chicks or birds. They go back to the feed store every time whether we hatched them out or got them as day olds. And now we have the most wonderful flock ever. Very sweet and definitley not stressed from having agressive ones around.
